Ongoing Classes for Bead Basics
One of our most popular classes is the “Bead Basics” series. We have
been teaching this class for 6 years, and our unique format has been
described as the most informative and empowering class available
anywhere in
This class is presented as a series of five 3 hour classes. It covers
all of the basic techniques necessary to produce professional quality
jewelry. The basic course curriculum provides a 15 page handout, with
clear diagrams of everything we teach, an opportunity to learn basic
design and layout, stringing with every conceivable stringing material,
various methods of crimping and attaching strands, different methods of
wire wrapping, at least two methods of pearl knotting, and effective
display and marketing.
Last but not least, participants create both a design and a project
portfolio. We are proud to say that many of our graduates are happily
selling their creations! You can work at any size and at any price
point, from inexpensive beads to the most elegant semi-precious beads.
We will show you how to create amazing and magnificent jewelry at any
level. You are able to use your own beads and supplies in these classes.
Tools are available for use, and we encourage you to try as many
different tools and other beading supplies as you wish, in order to make
the wisest purchases. An added feature is that registration in this
Beadiak class entitles you to a 10% discount on most purchases.
Class participants can expect to plan and complete at least 5 projects,
but there is no limit to how many you make. Students are invited to come
and work at any time between classes at our tables, with help from our
trained and knowledgeable staff. Bead Basics is a 5 consecutive week
course. Arrangements can be made to make up missed classes.
Some of our students stay for additional 5 week sign-ups, because there
is no limit to what you might aspire to learn and make, and no limit to
what we are willing to teach! Classes are limited in size, so that each
person can get personalized attention and support, and at times, there
may be waiting lists for classes.
Bead Basics classes are available on the following days and evenings:
Mondays 6pm – 9pm Wednesdays 11am – 2pm Thursdays 6pm – 9pm 5-Class
