Fine Silver Art Clay
1. Make & Take
This 4 hour class will give students a quick introduction to using Silver Art Clay, and is a pre-requisite for anyone who has not yet experienced this fascinating and rewarding medium. Students will be able to create at least one embellished pendant or enough charms to make a delightful bracelet. Students will be exposed to texture, syringe work, stamping, cutting, rolling, appliqué, gem setting, working with greenware, firing and after fire finishing. All tools and clay are included in the class price, and additional clay is available for purchase for students who want to work beyond class projects.

2. Pendants & Charms
This two day workshop goes in depth about the different options and variations for making beautiful pendants in different ways. It includes the use of fired in place gems and findings, and focuses on different ways to create bails and attachments. Charms is what will become of the scraps of clay left over from the pendants. Students can expect to make either one large pendant or two small ones from the clay supplied with the class. Class fees include clay and all tools and supplies, and additional clay and all other art clay tools and supplies will be available for purchase.

3. Beads, Beads, Beads
This two day workshop will focus on 4 different ways to make beads. Students will make beads from rolled sheet, lump clay, syringe, paste and hollow form. As with all Art Clay classes, focus will be on construction, greenware work and after-fire finishing. Class fee includes all clay, tools and supplies.

4. Molds
This 4 hour class will teach students how to make and use molds. We will explore positive and negative images, how to achieve sharp images, and how to utilize parts and pieces of existing molds to make composite design elements. This is an excellent opportunity for students to build their own mold collections by making molds from molds.

5. Bangle Bracelets
Make a beautiful, solid fine silver bangle bracelet. Embellish it with molded components, syringe and/or appliqué, 24k gold accents or carve designs into it. This class will also emphasize greenware work and post fire finishing. Class fee includes 50 gms of silver clay.

6. Cuff Bracelets
Students will make at least 2 cuff bracelets, and learn post fire forming. Optionally, one of the bracelets can be made from a mold.

7. Rings
This 2 day class will give students an opportunity to make at least 2 rings. One will feature a molded design, and the other will teach pre-fire size estimation. Students will also learn how to set a gem using two methods.

8. Jewelry Components
Learn about making components such as enhancers, cones, toggle and hook clasps. These pieces can either be aimed at a specific jewelry project, or added to your collection of findings to be used as the need arises. We will explore earring findings, connectors and attachments in this workshop.

9. Leaves and Organics
Using paste and rolled sheet, students will transform actual leaves to into pure fine silver and create a beautiful multi-leaf necklace. All clay, tools and materials are included in the workshop fee.

10. Hollow Forms
Students will use cork clay to make a bejeweled and appliquéd lidded vessel in this two day workshop. Students are required to have taken at least one prior advanced level Art Clay class with the instructor.
